Treasures Await

What I've learned over the past few months is it is a time to be thrifty. Recently unemployed, I started projects at home to organize and clean up. During my free time, away from the job search hunt, I discovered treasures aplenty. Loaded up boxes and bags went out to goodwill and my daughter donated food items to our local food pantry. What was left was an amazing discovery of unopened DVD's, CD's, books and clothing with tags still on them. I asked what can I do with these? I searched the Internet to discover EBay and it's sister site Half. I began to Furiously list my treasures on EBay to start earning some extra cash to help out with grocery shopping and any extra bills. I listed my husbands old textbooks on Half and those took off as well. Still there was more excitement to be had. Lots of old broken gold necklaces and earrings that were missing their partners. What can I do with these? I didn't want to just throw them out. Once again to the Internet. I found a place close by that weighs the gold and exchanges it for cash. I was so pleased with the outcome. A few weeks later my daughter needs braces with a steep down payment. I had saved the money I received for my gold and it was just enough to pay the down payment. I hear they take silver too... I will update how that goes. Treasures await us if you look. Give it a try and you may just be surprised!
